Who we are
West LA Athletics is a CrossFit and functional fitness gym located at 2260 S Centinela Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90064. You can reach us at 424-537-8317 or by email. This policy covers westlaathletics.com and the services we provide through it.
Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly, what we collect automatically as you use the site, and what we receive from the services we work with.
Information you give us
- Your name, email address and phone number when you fill in a contact form, book a trial, or sign up for a membership
- Emergency contact details and any health or injury information you choose to share with your coaches
- Payment details when you purchase a membership, trial or drop-in class
- Anything else you send us in an email or message
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address, browser type and device type
- Which pages you visit, how long you stay and which links you click
- The site or search that sent you to us
Information from others
Our class booking and membership management runs on Wodify. When you book or sign up, Wodify shares your account information with us so we can run your membership. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we receive confirmation of the transaction but do not store your full card number.
How we use your information
- To run your membership, bookings and class attendance
- To take payment and keep billing records
- To reply when you contact us
- To send you news, schedule changes and offers, if you have asked to receive them
- To keep the gym safe and meet our legal and insurance obligations
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the companies that help us run the gym and the website, and only as far as they need it to do that job. These include Wodify for membership and class management, our payment processor for transactions, Webflow which hosts this website, and our email provider for anything you have subscribed to.
We may also share information where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our members and staff.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses cookies, small files stored by your browser, to keep the site working properly and to understand how visitors use it e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Content embedded from other sites
Some pages include content hosted elsewhere, such as a YouTube video or a Wodify booking window. These behave as if you had visited the other site directly: the provider may set its own cookies and collect data about your visit, under its own privacy policy rather than ours.
How long we keep it
We keep membership and payment records for as long as you are a member and afterwards for as long as our legal, tax and insurance obligations require. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Website analytics data is kept for a limited period and is not tied to your name.
Your rights
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it
- Request a copy of that information
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we are required to keep
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
- Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights
To make a request, email us or call 424-537-8317. We may need to verify your identity before we act, so that nobody else can request your information.
Children
We offer classes for young athletes. Where a member is under 18, we collect their information from a parent or guardian, who is responsible for consenting on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect information online from children under 13 without that consent. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Keeping your information safe
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, and the services we rely on maintain their own security practices. No website or system can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated to members directly.
